Meeting with public office holders to raise awareness and seek input on the Arctic Research Foundation’s Arctic National Strategy. Discussing federal skills training and apprenticeship support programming, and the steps that can be taken to better enable training opportunities in Inuit and Northern communities. Seeking funding to support ARF vessel procurement, operational costs and subsidized vessel time for research organizations and Indigenous communities. Discussing the need for increased investments in Indigenous led environmental conservation and Northern scientific research initiatives. Meeting with public office holders to raise awareness of the Arctic Research Foundation and its work to advance the scientific research, environmental conservation, and infrastructure development priorities of Inuit and Northern communities

Pursuing federal funding to support construction of Nunavut Inuit Heritage Centre.

Meeting with public office holders to discuss the need for new community wellness programs and transitional services that provide targeted support to urban Indigenous community members, specifically programs that support youth, women, and urban Indigenous vulnerable populations. Speaking with elected officials and other designated public office holders regarding ongoing efforts to reform the First Nations Child and Family Services Program and the 1965 Agreement between Canada and Ontario with respect to Child and Family Services. Meeting with elected officials and other designated public office holders with respect for the increased funding needs for Indigenous child welfare and preventative services for NCFST's clients, which include First Nations individuals living off-reserve and in urban settings.

Engaging with decision makers on Horse Lake First Nations participation in major projects as defined by the major projects office. Engaging with decision makers to advance Horse Lake First Nation's addition to reserve and suggest ways to improve the addition to reserve policy. Engaging with decision makers to advance Horse Lake First Nation's community and seek funding for infrastructure needs including a new solid waste facility. We will be meeting with public office holders in support of settlements related to treaty land entitlements, and suggesting changes to modernize the Specific Claims Policy.

The review and updating of Canada's Medical Assistance in Dying (MAID) laws with respect to advance requests, mature minors, MAID for those whose sole underlying condition is a mental illness, the state of palliative care and the protection of Canadians living with disabilities.
