Meeting with public office holders and elected officials to support residential school commemoration efforts, combat IRS denialism, and implement the Murray report obligations. This work includes proposing amendments to Bill C-9, to include residential school denialism in the legislation. Supporting Chiefs of Ontario with outreach to Government and Opposition MPs regarding the potential reintroduction of PMB C-413: An Act to amend the Criminal Code (promotion of hatred against Indigenous peoples) - a private member’s bill aimed at combatting residential school denialism Meetings with public office holders and government officials regarding changes to funding and support for First Nations Police, specifically the Ontario First Nations Police Association.
