Implementation of the inquest recommendations following the tragic tragic mass casualty incident in September 2022 including by pursuing funding to establish community safety officers, collaborate on RCMP modernization, improve policing in James Smith Cree Nation and provide more healing and reintegration services to offenders while protecting the public. Explore funding opportunities to support the construction of a hydro-electric power plant in Saskatchewan's east-central region and learn more about the possible designation of this project under the Major Projects Office. Meeting with Parliamentarians, officials and senior staff to advance ongoing discussions with respect to James Smith's Cree Nation 100's desire to separate from two other Nations that are treated as a collective by Canada. Together, the three bands, known as "James Smith Cree Nation 370, " are currently funded by Canada as a collective, yet they are distinct Nations with separate elected leadership and different priorities. We are working to advance James Smith Cree Nation 100's de-amalgamation goals and self-determination priorities.

Engaging with decision makers on the issue of improvements to infrastructure in Nunatsiavut including the Nain airport, broadband internet access, housing and community infrastructure. Engaging with decision makers on fisheries priorities including the salmon allocation policy, shrimp allocation, arctic char, snow crab and Atlantic Cod. Engaging decision makers on major projects as defined by the major projects office and natural resource projects in Nunatsiavut. Engaging with decision makers to raise awareness of the Labrador Inuit Land Claim Agreement (LILCA) and ensure full implementation of the agreement. Share Nunatsiavut Government's view on Bill C-10 An Act respecting the Commissioner for Modern Treaty Implementation Lobbying for policy recognition of Nunatisavut Government as the only representative for Labrador Inuit and for policies to minimize/mitigate against false assertions of Labrador Inuit identity.

Engage the federal government in discussions on procurement policy and industrial policy with the aim of creating more economic opportunities for Indigenous communities and companies.

Engage with decision makers on advancing the BC connect North Hydro project to improve energy security for Yukon First Nations. Speaking to government officials regarding Canada's commitments to Carcross/Tagish First Nation with respect to the C/TFN self-government agreement.

We are meeting with public office holders to discuss programs and policies to improve economic conditions and affordability of in the consumer goods in the North, including Nutrition North Canada which is a retail subsidy that is fully passed on to consumers to make nutritious food and some essential items more affordable and accessible, upgrades to Northern infrastructure, dual use infrastructure and supply chains. We will be speaking and meeting with designated public office holders about a matter that relates to the cancellation of the carbon charge. This decision did not include a mechanism for Canada to refund businesses and communities for carbon charges paid on fuel purchased before the repeal but sold after April 1, 2025, an issue of importance specifically in Northern and Indigenous communities.

We will be meeting with designated public office holders in support of settlements related to treaty land entitlements / annuities, along with inquiries with respect to specific claims policy and any upcoming changes.

Meetings with Public Office Holders and elected officials to support residential school commemoration, combat denialism and implement the Murray report obligations. This work includes proposing amendments to Bill C-9 An Act to amend the Criminal Code (hate propaganda, hate crime and access to religious or cultural places). Meetings with Public Office Holders and elected officials related to strengthening First Nations policing and obtaining equitable funding. Meetings with Public Office Holders and elected officials around environmental protections and safe drinking water for First Nations communities including through the reintroduction of Bill C-61 An Act respecting water, source water, drinking water, wastewater and related infrastructure on First Nation lands.
