Working with the Minister of Finance in introducing a one-time tax deduction for healthcare professionals starting out in rural communities, and ensuring it includes chiropractors. Working with the government to update the Student Loan Forgiveness program to include chiropractors. The Disability Tax Credit Certificate gives Canadians the means to visit healthcare professionals. The current tax credit can be administered by doctors, nurses and physiotherapists. Chiropractors aren't currently eligible to administer the tax credit to patients, hence putting them at a disadvantage when compared to other professions. Chiropractors are regulated in all provinces and territories, and can assess, diagnose and treat musculoskeletal conditions which affects over 11 million Canadians annually. CCA would like the tax credit modernized to include chiropractors to ensure readily available and proper care for all Canadians. Looking to improve the accessibility of Canadian Armed Forces personnel access to chiropractic services. Advocating for the government to update the Interim Federal Health Program that supports refugees to include chiropractic care. Advocating for a 1-year extension to the mandate of the Canadian Pain Task Force in order to create an implementation plan for the recently released Action Plan.

Educating government on the importance of chiropractic care to provide better access to healthcare - chiropractors are Canada's largest community of regulated MSK experts, offering timely, evidence based, conservative care. MSK conditions are a leading cause of disabilityand healthcare costs, federal action is essential - chiropractic care supports workplace productivity - we want chiropractors to practice to their full scope and improve equitable access for all patients. Improve Access for the Canadian Armed Forces (CAF) Members - remove physician referral requirements and treatment caps to ensure timely, evidence based care. Authorize Chiropractors as Assessors for the Disability Tax Credit - allow chiropractors to certify patients for the Federal Disability Tax Credit (DTC) reducing delays and increasing access. Reinstate Chiropractic Care under NIHB - restore coverage under the Non-Insured Health Benefits program for Indigenous Peoples Expand Student Loan Forgiveness - include chiropractors in the Student Loan Forgiveness program to improve healthcare access in rural and underserviced communities Expanding and including chiropractic care under existing policies and programs such as non-insured health benefits program, Canadian Armed Forces, Interim Federal Health Program, and Disability tax credit.

Raise awareness of the burden of musculoskeletal (MSK) conditions and the need for more strategic approach to management of MSK health for federal populations including Canadian Forces, Veterans, RCMP and First Nations and Inuit. Inclusion of chiropractors as recognized qualified practitioners to issue the Disability Tax Credit Certificate(T2201). Improve chiropractic coverage for federal public service employees. Improve access to chiropractic care for Indigenous peoples, particularly by adding coverage for chiropractic services under the Non-Insured Health Benefits Program. Implement the Canadian Pain Task Force's Action Plan for Pain in Canada and enhance the current approach to pain management by improving the integration of non-pharmacological treatments, such as chiropractic care. Expand the Canada Student Loan Forgiveness Program to include front-line allied health care professionals, such as Doctors of Chiropractic. Ensure that the Canadian Armed Forces paid education programs in health care include chiropractic. Ensure that chiropractors are included in the government's plan to introduce a one-time income tax deduction for health care professionals starting their careers in rural communities. -Allow refugees and refugee claimants to access chiropractic care under the Interim Federal Health Program (IFHP).

That the Government of Canada amend the proposed increase to the capital gains tax inclusion rate to except healthcare clinics Raise awareness of the burden of musculoskeletal (MSK) conditions and the need for more strategic approach to management of MSK health for federal populations including Canadian Forces, Veterans, RCMP and First Nations, Metis, and Inuit.
