Legislation and policies concerning the new Canada Disability Benefit Our pre-budget submission included proposals to fund the new CDB at a level that would lift many PWD out of poverty and ensure that the new benefit was not 'clawed back' by provincial governments or private insurance schemes to the detriment of the recipient. Legislation and policies concerning affordable housing initiatives at the federal level DWDC's pre-budget submission included requests for more affordable housing, help for the homeless, and funds to improve the quality of the housing stock for indigenous and aboriginal peoples both on reserve and off.

Dying With Dignity Canada seeks to influence the Government of Canada to allow for advance requests for medical assistance in dying (MAID) for people who have a diagnosis of a grievous and irremediable medical condition.
