The funding would support database maintenance, scientific research on climate change, plastics and pharmaceuticals, the creation of a new public engagement center, and the installation of solar power to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by 330,000 kg/year at the Experimental Lakes Area.

Decarbonization of industrial sectors in relation to the Output-based Pricing System (OBPS) for industrial emissions. Canada’s participation in and support for (through NRCAN) the Intergovernmental Forum for Mining, Metals and Minerals for which IISD is the Secretariat.
