Engaging with Government of Canada officials regarding trade policy issues affecting dealers of major agricultural equipment in Canada such as tariffs and unfair trade practices.

Communications with Members of Parliament, regarding federal policies, programs, and funding related to post-secondary education in British Columbia. Advocacy will focus on increased federal investment in trades and vocational education and training; professional, technical, information technology, artificial intelligence, and other emerging-sector programs; and research and innovation at public universities.

Coordination of meetings with Government of Canada representatives with regard to promoting Michelin North America's business operations in Canada, and highlighting its work in the areas of technology and innovation, as it relates to federal technology and innovation priorities.

Financial supports for research and development, and commercialization efforts.

Engage with the Government of Canada on Procurement Policy as it related to technology adoption. Engage with the Government of Canada on Policy as it relates to cybersecurity and national security. Engage with the Government of Canada on Policy as it relates to artificial intelligence and data privacy and protection. Engage with the Government of Canada on Accessibility policy as it relates to the enactment of the Accessible Canada Act. Engage with the Government of Canada on programs and policies related to innovation, the digital economy, and the adoption of information and communication technologies.

Discussions with Government of Canada officials regarding Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada’s regulations around proof of language proficiency for both immigration and citizenship purposes.

Engaging with Government of Canada officials to discuss funding and policy issues as they pertain to the development of quantum computing in Canada and as per the government’s Innovation Agenda commitments.

Seeking funding from the strategic innovation fund or the Canada Infrastructure bank for commercial growing rack production and processing expansion.
