Representations to inform the government of opportunities for new aluminum production technologies that could be developed in Canada through the Strategic Innovation Fund. Meetings with the federal government on the various trade agreements (North American Free Trade Agreement, Canada-China bilateral trade)

Advocate for the continued and potentially expanded use of flow through shares in the resource and/or technology sectors by demonstrating the job creating results and tax fairness inherent in this regime.

Engagement with the federal government regarding the review and approval process for products falling under the jurisdiction of the Pest Management Regulatory Agency. Seeking to discuss Zentek’s Albany Graphite project in Northern Ontario and to obtain information and perspective on federal policies, programs, and funding tools related to critical minerals, value-added processing, and project development.

Discussions with the federal government on various aspects of Paper Excellence business operations, including, but not limited to, economic growth, innovation, sustainability and environment, and product diversification.

Discussion with government officials about the impact of theft of recycled materials on the industry. Introducing CARI to government officials, including public office holders and designated public office holders to discuss the importance of the work being done by Canada’s recycling industry and how it has positive impacts on the environment, creates jobs, and economic prosperity across the country.

Exploring avenues for federal infrastructure support for facility renewal project

Démarches visant à promouvoir le rôle stratégique du concentré de fer de haute pureté produit par Champion Iron dans la décarbonation de l’industrie de l’acier. Démarches visant à obtenir les autorisations nécessaires pour le plan de compensation associé au projet d’augmentation de la capacité d’entreposage au site minier du Lac Bloom. Démarches visant à ce que les instances gouvernementales adoptent une orientation pour stimuler des investissements gouvernementaux qui permettraient d’optimiser les infrastructures régionales, faciliter la transformation du minerai de fer au Québec et réduire les émissions de gaz à effet de serre associées aux activités de certaines entreprises de la région de la Côte-Nord.
