Working w/ the Gwa’sala-‘Nakwaxda’xw to address housing and infrastructure concerns in their home community. Working in support of the Gwa’sala-‘Nakwaxda’xw Nation (GNN) in helping them reach their Reconciliation and Treaty goals. Salmon Aquaculture: supporting KEDC in convincing DFO and the Government of Canada at large to allow Indigenous people to continue responsibly farming salmon on the Pacific coast.

Assisting the client in securing support from Government for in reaching out to, engaging and training new Aircraft Maintenance Engineers/Techs (AME/Ts) ahead of a serious lack of qualified professionals by 2030. Working on behalf of the AMFA - a professional union for aircraft maintenance professionals - to build and improve relationships with relevant government officials as they work to expand their presence in Canada.

Assisting the client in drawing on their significant databases to understand how data and AI can help the government with improved information for decision-making. Working with the client in pursuit of government contracts to support ongoing data operations.

Advocating with officials and Parliamentarians relating to concerns about intent and efficacy of Bill S-202 (An Act to amend the Food and Drugs Act (warning label on alcoholic beverages)) including the potential adoption of Canadian Centre on Substance Use and Addictions regulations. Supporting Labatt in raising awareness within government relating to the impacts of myriad potential tariffs on raw materials including aluminum. Advocating for changes to the automatic annual escalator to the federal excise duty

Supporting the client with their interests in developing eel aquaculture opportunities in the Maritimes including both the regulatory framework, drug approvals and, potentially, funding from government to support growth. Assisting the client with their interests in the Maritime Elver Fishery, advising them relative to any and all regulatory or policy changes from the Government of Canada including those affecting total allowable catch (TAC), Species at Risk Act (SARA) and aquaculture.

Assisting the client in securing the funding to which the government committed in Fall Economic Statement (FES) 2024.

Working with the client to identify and secure funding support from the Government of Canada to address the potentially catastrophic impact of the latest s.338 tariffs imposed by the United States. Work with the client to engage with government departments to encourage them to purchase Canadian-made engineered wood products (particularly specialty plywoods for concrete forming) rather than those imported from countries like Russia and China (often via Vietnam). This may include direct aware contracts with Build Canada Homes, DRDC, PSPC and/or any other listed department. Working with the client to identify opportunities for Government of Canada assistance in adapting to the loss of US markets in the medium to long term.

Assisting the client in navigating a sensitive immigration file for a senior employee.

Assist the client in working with the Government of Canada on existing and emerging rare earth metal programs related to defence and security priorities and programs. This may include financial support to the project. Assist the client in navigating required environmental and other Government of Canada approvals for a rare earth minerals mining project.
