Support for hydrogen research and development capabilities in Canada through the Strategic Innovation Fund I will be pursuing various department and agencies to adopt hydrogen and CCS incentives and financial supports including the Strategic Innovation Fund, Clean Hydrogen Investment Tax Credit, Contracts for Difference, and carbon credits under the Clean Fuel Regulations. On behalf of the client, I will be advocating to various departments and agencies with respect to legislation and regulations that impact the development of clean hydrogen production and carbon capture and storage (CCS) with a focus on Bill C-59 (e.g. CCUS-ITC), Clean Hydrogen Investment Tax Credit and the Clean Fuel Regulations.

Policies, regulations and programs regarding zero emissions vehicles and the use of hydrogen in transportation applications, the supply of hydrogen and equipment for hydrogen fueling stations, including technology relating to compression, storage and dispensing. Engaging government regarding support for clean hydrogen production and emissions reductions, including the proposed Clean Hydrogen Investment Tax Credit and the Carbon Capture, Utilization and Storage Investment Tax Credit.

Discussions regarding support for the development of clean hydrogen and net-zero technology, including through the Strategic Response Fund. Policies and regulations regarding zero emissions vehicles and the use of hydrogen in transportation applications, the supply of hydrogen and equipment for hydrogen fueling stations, including technology relating to compression, storage and dispensing. Engaging government regarding hydrogen and emissions reductions, including the proposed Clean Hydrogen Investment Tax Credit and the Carbon Capture, Utilization and Storage Tax Credit. Engaging government on regulations relating to hydrogen, including the Output-Based Pricing System (OBPS) regulations. Engaging government on regulations relating to CO2 production and reduction. Engaging government on policies and programs that encourage the production and use of hydrogen as an alternative source of fuel, including hydrogen produced from by alternative processes and the purchased and retrofit of third-party facilities. Engaging government on issues relating to Greenhouse Gas rules and their impact on third-party producers and sellers of hydrogen. Discussions regarding support for hydrogen mobility and transportation solutions.

To raise awareness with government officials with respect to the Company's development plans for mining projects in Ontario and Quebec, including employment and training, opportunities and benefits for Indigenous peoples and local communities, and the Company’s consultation and environmental management programs. To raise awareness with government officials and departments on the need for major infrastructure investment in the Arctic, including high speed internet infrastructure in Nunavut to support industry and community needs and enhance opportunities and economic linkages. Energy alternatives will significantly reduce the need to rely 100% on diesel generation as the only source of energy in these areas, significantly reducing GHG emissions and improving economic development opportunity for communities and industry. Engaging with the federal government to support farmer-led initiatives that improve sustainability and fertilizer use efficiency across Canadian agriculture. This includes advancing voluntary, science-based programs such as 4R Nutrient Stewardship (Right Source, Right Rate, Right Time, Right Place) and working with government to improve data, support practical policy approaches, and ensure environmental goals are science-based and do not compromise agricultural productivity. Providing input on the development and implementation of climate and environmental policies related to fertilizer production, including industrial decarbonization frameworks such as the Output-Based Pricing System (OBPS), Emissions-Intensive Trade-Exposed (EITE) assessments, and related provincial programs. Advocating for policies and programs that support the development, production, and manufacturing of key fertilizer products—including nitrogen, potash, phosphate, and sulphur—in Canada to enhance domestic production and ensure national food and economic security. Engagement with the federal government on issues affecting the international trade of fertilizer products, including policies related to market access, global competitiveness, and the secure and stable supply of fertilizer imports and exports critical to agricultural production. Engaging the federal government on the cumulative impact of fiscal and regulatory measures on the fertilizer industry in Canada. This includes climate and environmental compliance frameworks, investment tax credits, permitting timelines, and other policies affecting industry competitiveness. Providing input to the Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) on the regulatory oversight of fertilizer products, including policies related to product approvals, labelling requirements, and the transportation, storage, and sale of fertilizer. Engaging the federal government on policy, regulatory, and infrastructure initiatives related to the reliable and efficient movement of essential crop input products throughout Canada and to international markets. This includes discussions on supply chain resiliency, transportation corridors, and trade-enabling infrastructure necessary to support domestic agriculture and international food systems. Regulations regarding the transportation of dangerous goods and designated fertilizer products. Input on water policy as it relates to the impact and management of fertilizer products. Explosives Regulations regarding safety and security in handling of explosive precursors to reduce the risk of criminal acts.
