Raise awareness of Meetings Mean Business Canada and its ongoing work. Discuss policies and programs relating to tourism funding.? Discuss policies and programs relating to removing barriers to travel as it relates to travel permits and other regulation.

Engage with key ministries and key personnel to build awareness of SIMSA’s significant economic impact and ability to deliver upon Canada’s resource and energy sectors. This can be through receiving funding from departments such as Natural Resource Canada, PrairiesCan and the department of Finance.

Measures and policies related to increasing and enhancing the wages and retirement security support for SEIU members, especially Personal Support Workers. Ensuring the Safe Long Term Care Act, which has yet to be introduced, reflects support for the health, safety and working conditions of front line health care workers.

Encourage the government to support and regulate new technology, like AI, for vision screening. Explain how these tools make eye care faster and more effective, especially for underserved groups. Ask the government for funding to support vision care programs, including screening and outreach. Highlight the need for financial transparency and show how this will help patients and create jobs.
