Secure investments in readiness for all-hazard response, including health emergencies and public health crises in Canada and around the world. Increase support and funding on issues related to global migration and forced displacement, including on operational responses to new arrivals in Canada. Build support for health and public initiatives, including but not limited to supports targeted to mental health and seniors. Build support and obtain grant funding for community service organizations in Canada. Obtain contributions from Indigenous Services Canada (ISC) for programming in First Nation communities related to violence and injury prevention, first aid and emergency response and management for communities in specific geographies. Obtain contributions from Health Canada to support the implementation of health activities for vulnerable populations in Canada. Obtain contributions from Global Affairs Canada (GAC), Public Safety Canada, and other federal government bodies for the delivery of humanitarian assistance and development programming within Canada and around the world. Engage in governmental dialogue on issues related to international humanitarian law (IHL), with specific reference to ensuring the protection of vulnerable populations and the delivery of humanitarian assistance during times of armed conflict. Engage in dialogue on issues related to injury prevention, including on provincial regulatory frameworks for workplace safety, first aid and water safety as well as on the funding of programs aimed at preventing violence, bullying and abuse. Discuss ongoing programmatic issues with the Prime Ministers Office and the Treasury Board on an as needed basis. Discuss ongoing operational issues in relation to the ongoing delivery of humanitarian aid and development programming in specific geographies. Discuss ongoing operational issues in relation to COVID response operations, domestic emergency management, disaster response, disaster risk reduction, detention monitoring and health activities with specific reference to having access to and protecting the most vulnerable populations in Canada. Build greater support for the mobilization of resources to support diverse programming for First Nation communities in specific geographies.
