Advocacy related to the recognition of Goodstoney Nation as an independent Band under the Indian Act, including issues of self-governance, membership authority, and access to economic opportunities and trust revenues. Arranging meetings with the Government to receive updates about outstanding legal files involving the Crown, support for the extension of the Head Lease term on designated lands and the G7 legacy fund Securing timely support for the extension of a lease term on designated lands in order to incentivize First Nations led housing initiatives.
