Canada does not have a national organization to provide advice on issues related to bioethics. This type of organization exists in over 140 countries. The purpose of this activity is to support the creation of this national organization to support federal government initiatives, policies and programs related to bioethics.

Canadian Ferry Operators Association

Organizing meetings to ensure that the association is consulted in the development phase of legislative proposals, bills, regulations, policies and programs related to the ferry sector, especially in the fields of maritime security, environment, import duties and passenger safety. Lobby to ensure adequate facilities for ship repairs in Canada. Ensure tariffs are fair for the ferry sector. Advocate to have ferry sector included in present and future infrastructure funding programs. Advocate for the creation of research and innovation capacity on the marine transportation sector through either the creation of a Canada Research Chair position or a measure leading to a similar issue.

Agri-Food Innovation Council

Propose the development of a national strategy on agri-food research and innovation. Have the government increasingly fund projects that have a strong potential for economic and social growth versus others that may have less. Foster "trust in science" by having the government take an increasing role in presenting evidence related to research and innovation. Contribute to government policy discussions by providing information related to the agri-food sector, research related to agri-food and voice opinions of organizations and professionals involved in research and innovation in the agri-food sector.
