We are meeting with public office holders to discuss recent Temporary Foreign Worker Program changes, focusing on compliance requirements, operational impacts, and workforce continuity for affected northern stores. We are meeting with public office holders to discuss the benefits of critical infrastructure investments in the north , including benefits to those in rural and Indigenous communities. We are meeting with public office holders to discuss programs and policies to improve economic conditions in the North, including Nutrition North Canada which is a retail subsidy that is fully passed on to consumers to make nutritious food and some essential items more affordable and accessible. We will be speaking and meeting with designated public office holders about a matter that relates to the cancellation of the carbon charge. This decision did not include a mechanism for Canada to refund businesses and communities for carbon charges paid on fuel purchased before the repeal but sold after April 1, 2025, an issue of importance specifically in Northern and Indigenous communities..

Engaging with decision makers to raise awareness of the Labrador Inuit Land Claim Agreement (LILCA) and ensure full implementation of the agreement. Share Nunatsiavut Government's view on Bill C-10 An Act respecting the Commissioner for Modern Treaty Implementation. Engaging with decision makers on the issue of improvements to infrastructure in Nunatsiavut including the Nain airport, broadband internet access, housing and community infrastructure. Engaging with decision makers on fisheries priorities including the salmon allocation policy, shrimp allocation, arctic char, snow crab and Atlantic Cod.
