The client is seeking to win contracts related to the engineering and design aspects of defence infrastructure across Canada, but with particular reference to NORAD modernization.

Support the meaningful participation of Inuit and Inuit Development Corporations in emerging and existing programs related to Arctic and Northern defence and security, including NORAD Modernization and Continental and Arctic Defence, including special purpose, dual-use and community infrastructure. Make Government aware of Inuit-owned corporations capabilities and interests related to NORAD Modernization program and related, yet to be defined, future procurements. Discuss with Government the Inuit benefit policies that may or will be applied to those procurements, including the Industrial and Technological Benefits (ITB) policy, the 5% target in Indigenous procurement policy, and the Nunavut Agreement.

Arranging meetings with public office holders and senior officials to leverage existing shipyard capacity, supply chains, and provincial investments to strengthen Canada’s defence-industrial base and accelerate capability delivery through the new Defence Investment Agency. Engage with the Government of Canada and pursue contracts on a variety of federal fleet ship design options for the RCN, Coast Guard, Transport Canada and the RCMP.
