AWS Canada is seeking government contracts with the Department of National Defence and other National Security Agencies with regard to Amazon Cloud-based solutions and related support services.

Encouraging Canada to honour its NATO commitment and spend 2% of its GDP on National Defence, and no less than 20% a year on new equipment. Communications with public office holders regarding policies and initiatives to encourage trade between Canada and the United States, including with regard to the United States-Mexico-Canada Agreement (USMCA). Canada's contribution to Continental Defence, including future investments in NORAD modernization. Communicating with with government officials about Bill C-27 (Digital Charter Implementation Act, 2022), more specifically the creation of the Consumer Privacy Protection Act, the Personal Information and Data Protection Tribunal Act, and the Artificial Intelligence and Data Act

Advocacy related to the recognition of Goodstoney Nation as an independent Band under the Indian Act, including issues of self-governance, membership authority, and access to economic opportunities and trust revenues. Securing timely support for the extension of a lease term on designated lands in order to incentivize First Nations led housing initiatives. Arranging meetings with the Government to receive updates about outstanding legal files involving the Crown, support for the extension of the Head Lease term on designated lands and the G7 legacy fund Addressing outstanding legal files involving the Crown, including the case of Ear v the King. Assisting the Goodstoney Nation in discussions with the Government of Canada concerning the 5% Indigenous participation requirement in federal procurement is a key part of our mandate. We aim to ensure that the Stoney Nakoda can effectively leverage this policy to secure meaningful economic opportunities and partnerships.

Advancing policy frameworks regarding the modernization of Canada's airport system, specifically concerning the completion of 50-year ground lease extensions and ground rent formula reforms. This includes sharing perspectives on how potential changes to airport governance, alternative investment models, or alternative ownership structures can best preserve safe operations and maintain local community accountability. Engaging during pre-budget consultations regarding federal capital infrastructure allocations for regional gateways. Specifically advocating for the establishment of a new Small and Medium Airports Growth and Resilience Program, and seeking an increase to the annual funding for the Airport Capital Assistance Program (ACAP).
