Arranging meetings and attending meetings for the purpose of discussing government policy as it relates to energy trade and interties between Canada and the United States, including renegotiation of the Canada-United States-Mexico Agreement (CUSMA) and related trade issues. Engaging government stakeholders regarding the Clean Electricity Regulations, including development of a CER design that supports emissions reductions while maintaining reliability and affordability of the system. Commenting on the proposed investment tax credit of up to 30% for investments in clean technologies. Commenting on Canadas position with respect to US Inflation Reduction Acts transferable credits and OECD pillar 2 treatment. Arranging meetings and attending meetings to learn about the security-related impacts of Bill C-26 (An Act respecting cyber security, amending the Telecommunications Act and making consequential amendments to other Acts, 44-1) as it relates to BHE Canada transmission assets. Arranging meetings and attending meetings for the purpose of discussing potential funding for electricity transmission infrastructure and renewable energy generation, including through the Smart Renewables and Electrification Pathways Program and from the Canadian Infrastructure Bank. Funding currently sought would also benefit MATL Canada, LP, which is ultimately owned by BHE Canada Holdings Corporation.
