Deepen opportunities for cultural tourists to add additional activities and/or extend duration of stay; and creation of a new Embedded Artists program to train and grow the next generation of Canadian artisans, tradespeople and artists. Engaging the Government of Canada to catalyze the live performing arts industry in Canada by implementing a tax credit program, similar to the one already in place for the film & television sector. The tax credit would provide a reimbursement of a percentage of targeted labour expenditures effectively lowering operating costs for organizations, regardless of whether their business model is a for-profit or not-for-profit entity.
