Outlawing the export of live horses for slaughter. Advocating for legislation restricting the captivity of wild animals. Opposing legislative attempts to restrict transparency in agriculture. Ending fur farming in Canada. Criminal Code animal cruelty provisions. Requesting that the government fund efforts to replace the use of animals in science, including the Canadian Centre for Alternatives to Animal Methods. Farmed animal suffering in animal agriculture, including the lack of federal regulation of on-farm animal welfare; and enforcement of existing animal transport and slaughter laws.
