Engage with government to promote its submission on the ongoing counter tariff consultation The strategic need for the replacement of railcars for virtually every industry sector, which equates to transporting approximately 70% of Canada’s total freight, (i.e. raw materials, work in progress, finished goods, waste and recycling). Application to the EDC Trade Impact Program for financial relief to support NSC’s continued operations during a period of uncertainty. Application to the Strategic Innovation Fund (SIF) to support large-scale industrial and manufacturing investments. Further engagement to explore potential emergency funding tools and industrial policy levers to support NSC during the ongoing trade war with the United States.

Engage with the government of Canada on federal initiatives aimed at improving Canada’s domestic manufacturing capacities.
