Engage with government in support of critical infrastructure on-reserve, such as educational and community facilities. Specifically in regard to Bill C-5, One Canadian Economy, and potential funding opportunities related to infrastructure, such as Green and Inclusive Community Buildings and First Nation Infrastructure Fund. In particular, aiming to secure commitments and action plans on key priorities, including Treaty Land Entitlement and Annuity Settlements, improved public safety and emergency management, with a focus on wildfire response.

Discussion on funding for programs that can benefit citizens who do not reside on Huu-ay-aht Treaty Lands. Much of government funding is only for citizens on HFN lands but Huu-ay-aht Government is responsible for their well-being. Discussion of ongoing investment and support for economic diversification, tourism and development. The Budget 2024 announcement of loan guarantees to help Indigenous communities invest in natural resources and energy products. Discussion on taxation and penalties being brought forward on elders who need these extra funds. Discussion of the government’s priorities is it pertains to housing and infrastructure needs on Indigenous lands. Discussion of various intergovernmental initiatives between British Columbia and the federal government, including forestry, mining and resource development. The ongoing implementation of Canada’s collaborative modern treaty implementation policy. Discussion of salmon fisheries policy and aquaculture policy across the Pacific coast, and First Nations' right to fish in their traditional territories. Indigenous communities’ efforts on child and family services reform, including Bill C-92, "An Act respecting First Nations, Inuit and Métis children, youth and families" and the development of provincial and federal child, youth and family service agreements. The development of upcoming legislation as it pertains to the establishment of a Commissioner of Modern Treaty Implementation (CMTI)

Working with the Gwa'sala-'Nakwaxdaxw to seek support from the Government of Canada for the acquisition of timber leases in their traditional territory and associated infrastructure. Working with the Gwa’sala-‘Nakwaxda’xw to address and gain access to funding for housing and infrastructure concerns in their home community through Housing, Infrastructure and Communities Canada, as well as other related government entities. Working in support of the Gwa’sala-‘Nakwaxda’xw Nation (GNN) in helping them reach their Reconciliation and Treaty goals. Salmon Aquaculture: supporting KEDC in convincing DFO and the Government of Canada at large to allow Indigenous people to continue responsibly farming salmon on the Pacific coast

Support Misipawistik Cree Nation in pursuing financial support in order to develop critical infrastructure on reserve supporting education, housing, and community spaces. Current policies and funding programs include but are not limited to "Green and Inclusive Community Buildings Program" and "Jordan's Principle."
