Advocating for investment of public funding and private sector expertise to deliver critical water and wastewater infrastructure to Indigenous and remote communities and municipalities. The Disaster Mitigation and Adaptation Fund (DMAF) program funding for flood mitigation projects; Natural Infrastructure Fund to support natural and hybrid infrastructure projects; Canada Water Agency development and National Infrastructure Assessment program. Engage and provide feedback on policies and programs under development and obtain information on current policies and programs, including those announced through the annual federal budget, Fall Economic Statement and Climate Plans. These include, but are not exclusive to, proposed changes to the Competition Act and the Smart Renewable and Electrification Pathways and the Energy Innovation Program - Smart Grid grant programs. Clean Energy Investments in renewable energy, energy efficiency, energy storage and clean energy and technology solutions. Programs of interest include Clean Fuels Fund, Smart Renewables and Electrification Pathways program (SREP), Emissions Reduction Fund, Zero Emission Vehicle Infrastructure Program (ZEVIP), Indigenous Loan Guarantee Program. Clean Electricity Regulations, with respect to the overall development of the regulations and compliance mechanisms. Excessive interest and financing expenses limitation (EIFEL), with respect to a potential exemption for regulated utilities from proposed changes to interest deductibility limits.
