Secure funding for a National Vision Health Desk at the Public Health Agency of Canada. Work with Health Canada on the implementation of Bill C-284, a National Strategy for Eye Care. As experts in eye and vision health, support the consultation process and the production of a final report. Advocate for the appointment of a national Chief Vision Health Officer.

Demonstrate leadership in AI by establishing the Health Artificial Intelligence Validation Network (HAIVN) framework as an independent entity to improve the evaluation and regulation of AI in Canada as part of Health Canada’s Medical Devices Directorate regulatory process. Guide an investment of $2 billion over three years for radiology equipment to improve access to modern medical imaging equipment. Streamline the process for equipment installation and reduce the substantial associated labour costs. Invest in the radiology workforce. This would include the hiring and retention of MRTs, sonographers and radiologists as part of a health human resource strategy to reduce backlogs and improve health services.

Working with the Medical Council of Canada to establish a National Registry of Physicians Supporting the continued development and implementation of multi-jurisdictional physician licensing (such as the Atlantic Register)

Ensuring Environment Canada Defends its science internationally in forums such as the Stockholm Convention

That the Federal government allocate funding for the re-shaping of downtowns, main streets, and traditional commercial neighbourhoods. These programs would focus on enhancing the functionality and efficiencies of the ground-floor/street interface and interior modifications required to ensure viability for business and property owners. Also ensuring that existing funding programs are inclusive of main streets in Canada - local businesses and neighbourhoods.

Engaging Parliamentarians and Ministry officials to educate them on the role NAPRA's members play to protect the public in Canada’s health care system. This includes legislation and regulations governing and/or impacting the practice of pharmacy.
