Vehicle greenhouse gas emission regulations. Supporting government initiatives around GHG emissions for vehicles. The Canadian Environmental Protection Act as it relates to the creation of greenhouse gas emissions standards for vehicles. Supporting initiatives to reduce the emissions intensity of the energy system. Supporting government in the implementation of Annex 3 - Chemicals of Mutual Concern as part of the bi-national Great Lakes Water Quality Agreement. Reduce pollution and GHG emissions from shipping. Reduce pollution and GHG emissions from freight moved by trucks. Promoting solutions for the effective development of a low-carbon energy system. Promoting low-carbon innovation Promoting community energy and emissions plans. Promote policies for the development of a low-carbon hydrogen sector in Canada. Promote actions that will accelerate the decarbonization of the transportation sector. Encouraging the creation of programs that promote nutrient recovery and re-use that address environmental challenges and support food security Encouraging the creation of programs that promote improvement in vehicle fuel efficiency levels. Encouraging action to reduce plastic pollution and produce a circular economy. Encouraging action on greenhouse gas mitigation and chemicals of mutual concern under the Canadian Environmental Protection Act Addressing pharmaceutical pollution in the Great Lakes. Accelerate the adoption of electric and hydrogen vehicles.

Identification of funding opportunities for Pollution Probe to conduct research and projects supporting Government of Canada's existing programs and priorities related to the subject matters. Develop reports supporting Canada's goals as it relates to climate change, water, Indigenous health and other environmental issues.
