Engaging for program information and design for the new UTIP Bricks and Mortar program announced in the Spring Economic Statement. The Ironworkers are requesting meeting to suggest changes to the Temporary Foreign Worker (TFW) program. Specifically refining TFW rules to address genuine skill shortages while protecting Canadian jobs and labour standards by requiring the construction stream Labour Market Impact Assessments (LMIA) requires consultation to the Local Unions about available labour supply.
