Engage with government officials to discuss ongoing trade negotiations, including CUSMA, and to provide advice based on input from and the experience of CPAs Engage government decision-makers regarding anti-money laundering and other financial-related crimes, including legislation such as the Proceeds of Crime (Money Laundering) and Terrorist Financing Act (PCMLTFA). Facilitate ongoing conversations with government decision-makers to discuss changes to the Income Tax Act, and the Income Tax Regulations. Engage with federal policymakers on innovation and technology policy, including privacy regulation and the potential introduction of artificial intelligence legislation. Engage in discussions with government decision-makers regarding pre-budget consultations as well as measures contained in Budget Implementation Acts.
