Requesting consideration and inclusion of landfill diversion incentives within Environment and Climate Change Canada's Landfill Methane Regulations. Navigating financial support mechanisms such as Canadian Infrastructure Bank (CIB), Canada Growth Fund (CGF), and Innovation, Science, and Economic Development (ISED). Seeking support through funding programs like the Strategic Response Fund (SRF). Seeking line of sight to potential grant funding mechanisms that can, if necessary, support the capital stack of Varme's Heartland Project to unlock private capital investment into the project. Encouraging the Government of Canada to enable Internationally Transferred Mitigation Outcomes (ITMO) as a legal tool under the Paris Agreement for domestic carbon project developers to access global markets.
