Support for hydrogen research and development capabilities in Canada through the Strategic Innovation Fund I will be pursuing various department and agencies to adopt hydrogen and CCS incentives and financial supports including the Strategic Innovation Fund, Clean Hydrogen Investment Tax Credit, Contracts for Difference, and carbon credits under the Clean Fuel Regulations. On behalf of the client, I will be advocating to various departments and agencies with respect to legislation and regulations that impact the development of clean hydrogen production and carbon capture and storage (CCS) with a focus on Bill C-59 (e.g. CCUS-ITC), Clean Hydrogen Investment Tax Credit and the Clean Fuel Regulations.

Supporting the development and implementation of policies, programs, and regulatory measures aimed at preventing and combating fraud, scams, and financial crime, including measures that enhance information sharing, consumer protection, and the integrity of Canada’s financial system. Supporting an open and competitive technology environment for mobile payments to maximise consumer choice and strengthen Canada’s participation in the digital economy. Promoting the recognition and adoption of modern digital payments infrastructure as a foundation for Canada’s economic resilience and innovation Supporting the development and adoption of secure, convenient digital verification and authentication solutions to enhance consumer protection and confidence in Canada’s digital economy. Tax Regulations, with respect to a prescribed payment card corporation share Policies, rules and codes that affect the payments system and payment networks

Representations, comments and discussions regarding North American and international energy security, the integration of pipeline infrastructure and promotion of energy exports. Discussions include impacts on international trade and imposition of tariffs. Representations, comments and discussions on policies and regulations which encourage economic investment, job creation and pipeline capacity in Canada. Discussions regarding Canada’s competitiveness, including with respect to taxation, access to capital and taxation. Discussions regarding Indigenous engagement, consultation and partnerships. Communications regarding pipeline related matters and energy projects, such as project review timelines, pipeline safety and incident response and safety improvements.
