Further engagement to explore potential emergency funding tools and industrial policy levers to support NSC during the ongoing trade war with the United States. Engage with government to promote its submission on the ongoing counter tariff consultation The strategic need for the replacement of railcars for virtually every industry sector, which equates to transporting approximately 70% of Canada’s total freight, (i.e. raw materials, work in progress, finished goods, waste and recycling).

Seeking relief for Canadian renewable diesel producers similar to the Contribution Agreements offered through the Clean Fuels Fund. Arranging meetings and monitoring government policy and program initiatives with regards to Canada’s energy sector. Addressing the looming economic crisis being driven by large volumes of subsidized US renewable diesel imports into the Canadian market.
