Inform the Government of Canada of the experience that Ontario hospitals are having with the timelines to expand Medical Assistance in Dying Doubling the funding investment to the Tri-Council (CIHR, NSERC, and SSHRC) to bring Canada into competitive balance globally. Advocate for increased funding into Canada Health Transfers to help bolster healthcare delivery capacity. Advocate for federal action on the Health Human Resources (HHR) crisis by delivering a Pan-Canadian strategy that addresses recruitment, retention, and other key issues.

Communications regarding medical assistance in dying with respect to advance requests, the state of palliative care, and the protection of Canadians with disabilities. Law enforcement also includes Search and Rescue and “dementia friendly communities”. Canadian Institutes of Health Research (CIHR) - as it relates to increased federal funding and long-term investment in dementia research exceeding 1% of direct dementia care costs (aspirational goal in national dementia strategy). Support for health research infrastructure and continued CIHR partnerships with charitable non-profits like ASC. Budget 2025 - Canada Strong as as it relates to dementia and caregiving as national challenges that require coordinated action across governments and communities. Support for health data, AI, and innovation investments. Continued support for the National Dementia Strategy with targeted investments to reduce impact and costs associated with dementia care. Communications regarding the Canada Disability Benefit to ensure accessibility for individuals with cognitive impairment, including with Alzheimer's or other dementias. Create and fund programs to support Canadians diagnosed with young-onset dementia. Communications regarding the Canada Post strike and its adverse financial impacts (i.e. donations) on the charitable sector. Communications regarding potential funding to Alzheimer Society Research Program for research to study the topic of Veterans and Dementia in a truly Canadian context. Communications regarding the need for $20 million over 5 years through programs like Age Well at Home, and a longer-term and larger commitment to programs like ASC's FirstLink® that have been proven to support people with dementia to live well as long as possible at home and in the community. Communications regarding the need to invest $15 million over 3 years to implement national standards for diagnosis, treatment and care for Alzheimer’s disease and dementia. This will ensure that the health systems across the country have access to quality standards to be able to realize the benefits of any disease modifying drugs approved in Canada. Health Canada as it pertains to the approval of disease-modifying treatments for Alzheimer's disease and other dementias that aim to slow or halt the progression of the disease. National standards and Safe Long-term Care Act include a common standard for the definition of an Essential Care Partner (ECP). Improve access to palliative and end-of-life care for people living with dementia in Canada. Implementation metrics and success criteria for "A Dementia Strategy for Canada:Together We Aspire." Funding opportunities under PHAC's Dementia Community Investment and Dementia Strategic Fund to support awareness-raising, dementia guidelines, diversity & Inclusion and best practices.

Protect children and youth from online harms by advancing evidence-informed policies (Bill C-34) that promote safer digital environments, support healthy development and well-being, and strengthen protections against harmful online content, interactions, and platform practices. PT stream of the Build Communities Strong Fund, specifically the $5 billion announced specifically for healthcare infrastructure, making sure that children's healthcare needs are taken into account in the program development. Creation of an Indigenous Guiding Circle within Children's Healthcare Canada to provide guidance and counsel on how to better advocate for FNIM children and youth health issues. Protect the Public Health Agency of Canada’s critical work, building confidence in vaccines for children and combatting mis and disinformation influencing decisions impacting children’s health. Protect and expand capacity to deliver on Jordan’s Principle and the Inuit Child First Initiative (a federal responsibility); Top up and broaden the eligibility for the Youth Mental Health Fund, with a focus on prevention, early assessment and rapid intervention in the early years; Include Children’s Priorities in Nation-Building Investments : Asking for capital investments in the children’s healthcare system, including support for research, workforce planning, and the implementation of learning health systems. Advancing a National Children's Strategy to advance child and youth health and well-being outcomes.

Movember advocates for federal policies and investments that improve men’s health outcomes across Canada. It lobbies for the creation and funding of a National Men’s Health Strategy, focusing on mental health, suicide prevention, and early detection of conditions that disproportionately affect men. Movember’s efforts include advancing Indigenous-led health initiatives, addressing systemic health inequities, and improving men’s health literacy. Movember strives to support systems supporting healthier outcomes for men and boys, in healthcare spaces, online and digital spaces, in workplaces and in communities.

Seeking one time capital federal funding to support future capital projects and infrastructure expansions. Advocating for the development of a federal capital funding program to address transitional housing needs for vulnerable populations, including families served by Ronald McDonald House.
