"Hydrogen Related Incentives" On behalf of the client, I will be advocating to various departments and agencies to promote hydrogen production and carbon capture and storage (CCS) in Alberta. In addition, I will be pursing various department and agencies to adopt hydrogen and CCS incentives.

Policies, regulations and programs regarding zero emissions vehicles and the use of hydrogen in transportation applications, the supply of hydrogen and equipment for hydrogen fueling stations, including technology relating to compression, storage and dispensing. Engaging government regarding support for clean hydrogen production and emissions reductions, including the proposed Clean Hydrogen Investment Tax Credit and the Carbon Capture, Utilization and Storage Investment Tax Credit.

Seeking funding from the Strategic Innovation Fund (SIF) – Net Zero Accelerator, under the Innovation, Science, and Economic Development Canada (ISED), the Investment Tax Credit (ITC) from Finance Canada, the Canada Infrastructure Bank, and the Canada Growth Fund for Carbon Capture Utilization and Storage (CCUS). The lobbying activities have been and will all be focused on the development and construction of a Cement CCUS project which will reduce GHGs emission. Seeking funding opportunities related to the $33-billion Investing in Canada Infrastructure Program, specifically the Investing in Canada Infrastructure Program and categories of Codes, Guides and Specifications for Climate-Resilient Public Infrastructure; Green Infrastructure Fund; Investing in Canada Infrastructure Program – Green Infrastructure Stream; Municipal Asset Management Program; and Municipalities for Climate Innovation Program. Lobbying activities will be focused on educating government officials in infrastructure and transportation on the opportunities and challenges with lower carbon concrete alternatives, and how codes, standards, specifications, and procurement policies can be designed to accelerate and incentivize uptake of low carbon concrete solutions for horizontal and vertical infrastructure.

Engage the Government of Canada in discussions related to funding opportunities to continue development of the Qikiqtarjuaq Deep Sea Port in Nunavut.

Commit to the acquisition of new icebreaker servicing capacity. Award contracts to 1) lease two icebreakers; 2) expand and increase refurbishment of a service port; and 3) acquire a new icebreaker.

Transport Canada Rail Program related to support for logistics to ship product to Western Canada. Air Quality regulations and compliance pertaining to the ongoing operations of Coke Plants as part of integrated steelmaking. CUSMA review, USA Tariffs and Internal trade Strategic Response Fund (SRF) Entry Visa's to facilitate investment discussions Buy Canada Initiative SIF Net Zero accelerator Fund Requesting that Consular Offices assist in facilitating employees' return to Canada. Communicating with the Government of Canada about Ballast Water Control and Management Regulations SOR/2011-237, more specifically management of ballast on vessels. Communicating with government officials about the Strategic Innovation Fund (SIF) for Canada's steel sector and Finance Canada about the Investment Tax Credits for investment in equipment to reduce carbon intensity. Communicating with government officials about the imposition of countermeasures (surtaxes) on steel imports from the United States Communicating with government officials about the imposition of national security tariffs on steel exports to the United States. Communicating with government officials about the Federal carbon Pricing backstop, specifically the Output-Based Pricing System (OBPS) Communicating with government officials about the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA), specifically those provisions related to the steel sector.

Nuclear Liability Act: Lobby government with respect to upcoming changes to the regulations around the NLA Nuclear Energy: Advocate for greater recognition of nuclear energy and its role in fighting climate change and supporting CANDU technology development and innovation. International Trade: Advocate for policies or programs that assist the Canadian nuclear industry in developing/increasing foreign trade. Fisheries Act: With respect to possible changes to the Fisheries Act involving destruction of fish and/or fish habitat including Bill C68 and ensuing regulations Department of Finance: With respect to possible changes to regulations around private corporate pension plans and various proposed tax measures Climate: Inclusion of nuclear energy in the program as a means of maximizing emissions-free nuclear power generation to assist Canada is achieving its emissions reduction objectives. Canadian Nuclear Safety Control Act: Regulatory documents pertaining to the design,construction and operation of new nuclear power plants and continued safe operation of existing plants. Canadian Nuclear Labs - Outline areas of possible co-operation with respect to the future activities of CNL including, medical isotopes, R&D, refurbishment of operating reactors and development of new reactors.
