Exploring procurement opportunities relating to reequipping the Canadian Armed Forces.

Defence: lobbying activities will include discussions, briefing and presentations on Defence and Civil Security related programs. These include, but are not limited to, aerospace programs, maritime/naval programs, land domain programs, training and simulation programs, research and development and civil security related activities Government Procurement: lobbying activities will include discussions and briefings with the relevant Ministers and members of committees with responsibilities associated with government procurement as it relates to defence and civil security related programs. This is not intended to include any requests for government funding. Economic Development: lobbying activity will include briefings, presentations and discussions associated with the Industrial and Technological Benefits (ITB) policy as it relates to defence and civil security programs. The ITB policy is a key evaluated component of many of the federal government programs that Saab competes in, and as such information on the means through which the company aims to address its ITB obligations is worthy of discussion with the relevant government authorities.

Advocating that no concessions impacting dairy or supply management be granted in the context of any negotiations with the U.S. Seek to maintain Canada’s current position on agriculture and supply management. Government not grant any additional access to our Canadian dairy market in any future free trade agreement and protect Canadian sovereignty in future trade deals. Discussions regarding support from the federal and provincial governments to bring new processing capacity to life in Ontario. Discussions regarding government support for clean-tech. As government becomes involved in discussions around climate change, they advocate for programs and incentives that help farmers continue adopting innovations to meet our environmental targets. Discussions regarding federal funding to establish and maintain a Canadian vaccine bank for Foot-and-Mouth Disease. Discussions regarding Canada’s Standards of Identity for Dairy Products. We ask that parliamentarians commit to protecting the current Standards of Identity for Dairy Products, which limit the use of dairy terminology and imagery to animal agriculture. In addition, we ask that these regulations continue to be enforced. Ask government to ensure that both the Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) and the Canadian Border Services Agency (CBSA) have the resources and training programs they need to adequately enforce dairy regulations and production standards.

As government becomes involved in discussions around climate change, they advocate for programs and incentives that help farmers continue adopting innovations to meet our environmental targets.
