"Hydrogen Related Incentives" On behalf of the client, I will be advocating to various departments and agencies to promote hydrogen production and carbon capture and storage (CCS) in Alberta. In addition, I will be pursing various department and agencies to adopt hydrogen and CCS incentives.

Discussions regarding support for the development of clean hydrogen and net-zero technology, including through the Strategic Response Fund. Policies and regulations regarding zero emissions vehicles and the use of hydrogen in transportation applications, the supply of hydrogen and equipment for hydrogen fueling stations, including technology relating to compression, storage and dispensing. Engaging government regarding hydrogen and emissions reductions, including the proposed Clean Hydrogen Investment Tax Credit and the Carbon Capture, Utilization and Storage Tax Credit. Engaging government on regulations relating to hydrogen, including the Output-Based Pricing System (OBPS) regulations. Engaging government on regulations relating to CO2 production and reduction. Engaging government on policies and programs that encourage the production and use of hydrogen as an alternative source of fuel, including hydrogen produced from by alternative processes and the purchased and retrofit of third-party facilities. Engaging government on issues relating to Greenhouse Gas rules and their impact on third-party producers and sellers of hydrogen. Discussions regarding support for hydrogen mobility and transportation solutions.

Opportunities around data centres and impediments which may exist between federal and provincial governments and intended next policy steps from the federal government. Federal government policies and/or programs relating to the development of data centres, including the energy source(s) required for those data centres to be successful. Getting complete understanding and clarification to work within the Canadian Environmental Protection Act in regards to Green House Gas Emissions. This will include communicating with department officials and public office holders to ensure understanding. Following and understanding the implementation of the Pan-Canadian Framework on Climate Change to abide by in regards to power generation and carbon capture. This could involve meetings between the client and related public office holders and department officials to understand the impact and aim of the policy and program. Federal programs or supports for renewable energy Federal programs, policies or supports for inter-provincial electricity transmission. Federal programs, policies and supports for the implementation of Alberta's Climate Leadership Plan. In particular, the phase out of coal-fired electricity generation. Federal policies, programs or regulations on air emissions or Green House Gas Emissions from natural gas fired electricity generation Capital Stock Turnover Plan with respect to retirement dates of coal fired power plants

Regulations and/or amendments under the Food and Drug Act (Natural Health Products), as it relates to monitoring of nicotine products such as nicotine pouches. Tuberculosis prevention and control in respect of enhanced programs for First Nations peoples and New Canadians. The Canadian Pandemic Influenza Plan in respect of the vaccination of Canadians and awareness for COPD and asthma patients. Regulations and/or amendments under the Tobacco Act, extend enhanced warning labels to all tobacco products, and control new forms of smoking and nicotine consumption, including water-pipes and e-cigarettes. All Aspects of tobacco control. Regulation of Cannabis with respect to protecting the lung health of Canadians, including second hand cannabis smoke and research on cannabis. Chemicals Management Plan with respect to ensuring ongoing, adequate funding for the program to achieve reductions in outdoor and indoor toxic air pollutants. Canadian Tuberculosis Committee for Canadian strategies and priorities with respect to tuberculosis prevention and control. Amendments to the Tobacco Act with respect to increasing tobacco taxation and penalties for contraband cigarettes (formerly known as Bill S-5, An Act to amend the Tobacco Act and the Non-smokers’ Health Act and to make consequential amendments to other Acts). Amendments to the List of Toxic Substances in Schedule 1 of the Canadian Environmental Protection Act, 1999 (CEPA 1999) with regards to air pollutants. Amendments to the Canadian Environmental Protection Act with respect to increasing federal environmental enforcement powers to ensure better air quality. Amendments to the Canadian Environmental Protection Act in respect of developing a nation-wide Air Quality Management System for Canada to improve air quality. Amendments to the Canada Wide Standard (CWS) for particulate matter and ozone pertaining to wood-burning stoves. Amendments to the Canada Transportation Act with respect to controlling the carriage of pets in airplane passenger cabins to protect the health and safety of individuals with chronic lung disease. Air Quality Management System (AQMS) in respect of approval for the final development and implementation of the proposed system with full involvement of stakeholders. Air Quality Health Index with respect to ensuring the Index is active in every province and major community across Canada.
