The federal government has applied a 25 per cent surtax on imports of steel and aluminum products from China, effective October 15, 2024. Atlantic Coated Papers intends to make representations to inform government officials of the public policy and economic impact of such tariffs on Canadian-owned companies who are producing value-added aluminum products.
