Advocating for the inclusion of a wildfire prevention line item in Budget 2026, focused on deploying early detection infrastructure—such as AI-enabled sensors and predictive analytics—in high-risk Indigenous, municipal, and Crown lands. Advocating for data governance policies that support ethical use of AI-enabled wildfire surveillance tools, including safeguards for Indigenous data sovereignty and local ownership of monitoring systems.
