To provide input related to plans to combat climate change and reduce greenhouse gas emissions, as well as other policy initiatives including conservation, clean technology investments and renewable energy. To introduce Alectra's renewable energy projects to the federal government with the aim of identifying government grants, funding streams or any other relevant avenue in which Alectra's renewable projects may be considered for financial support. To advocate for changes to the definition of tax-exempt entities under the Federal Income Tax Act to allow for increased investment into the electricity sector.

To seek repeal or amendment of the Greenhouse Gas Pollution Pricing Act to eliminate the Output-Based Pricing System (industrial carbon tax) as it applies to oil and gas facilities, reducing costs, enhancing competitiveness, and supporting energy sector development. To seek repeal or amendment of the Oil Tanker Moratorium Act to remove the prohibition on vessels carrying >12,500 metric tons of crude or persistent oil in bulk along British Columbia’s northern coast, enabling safe oil-tanker traffic for energy export and economic development while upholding marine safety standards. To bring awareness of drilling and service rig contractors operating in Canada and advocating for support of the industry including interprovincial trade cooperation and better workforce mobility. We are requesting for the ongoing extension of the China Surtax Remission Order imposed on the drill pipe from China. We are requesting relevant industry training be included as part of the compliance conditions for the exemption renewal under the Commercial Vehicle Drivers Hours of Service Regulation. To amend the Income Tax Act to provide helium and natural hydrogen with fair capital cost treatment and allow their inclusion into the Federal flow through share program, normal tax measures that are provided to all other critical mineral resource developers in Canada.
