Real Estate Foundation of B.C. is engaging in discussions on the forthcoming National Water Security Strategy, led by the Canada Water Agency, with respect to the Strategy's recognition of the Watershed Security Fund as a proven model for Canada and a proven mechanism in B.C. to distribute watershed funding to communities, as well as the importance of the National Water Security Strategy being grounded in community and regional perspectives, and recognized not only as an environmental issue, but also a matter of economic security, community well-being and equity, national sovereignty, and reconciliation.
