Title: Securing multi-year funding for Quantum Industry Canada to advance its mission. Description: Engagement with federal officials regarding multi-year funding to enable Quantum Industry Canada (QIC) to advance its mission and deliver benefits for Canada. QIC is seeking resources to support Canada’s quantum ambitions, help translate the country’s strengths in quantum technologies into economic and strategic advantage, and contribute to the effective delivery of key federal strategies and priorities related to quantum, defence, security, and economic growth. Title: Canada’s Defence Industrial Strategy, with respect to quantum and related advanced dual-use technologies. Description: Engagement with federal officials regarding the development and implementation of Canada’s Defence Industrial Strategy as it relates to strategic dual-use technologies, including quantum technologies. Discussions may include the role of Canadian industry in defence supply chains, approaches to industrial capability development, procurement and innovation mechanisms suitable for small and medium-sized enterprises, alignment with allied defence frameworks, and policies and programs intended to strengthen domestic industrial capacity, resilience, and export readiness in support of Canada’s defence and security objectives. Title: Canada’s National Quantum Strategy, with respect to governance, implementation, funding mechanisms, and industry engagement. Description: Engagement with federal officials regarding the implementation and evolution of Canada’s National Quantum Strategy (NQS), including its coordination across departments and agencies, alignment with economic security and industrial policy objectives, and the design of programs intended to support commercialization, industrialization, workforce development, and adoption of quantum technologies. Discussions may include the role of industry, mechanisms to improve deployment and procurement pathways, programs and policy changes needed to support the NQS missions, and alignment with allied quantum strategies and international partnerships. Title: Department of National Defence and Canadian Armed Forces Quantum Science and Technology Strategy Implementation Plan (Quantum 2030), with respect to capability development, procurement, and industry participation. Description: Engagement with federal officials concerning the implementation of Quantum 2030, including priorities for quantum and quantum-secure technologies and their supply chains. Discussions may address pathways for Canadian industry participation, alignment of research, development, and demonstration activities with defence needs, mechanisms to support dual-use technologies, and approaches to testing, validation, and early adoption of quantum capabilities within defence and security contexts, in coordination with trusted allies.
