Landscape Ontario's Snow and Ice Management sector group works with snow and ice contractors and municipal managers, industrial, institutional, commercial, residential and multi-residential property managers, technical staff and business owners to educate on issues involving snow management, which include best practices and protection of the environment. Landscape Ontario has been operating the Smart About Salt environmental education program since 2007, but has recently developed a more advanced curriculum of training that incorporates Smart About Salt, continuing education and a means to accredit training providers. The goal is to create a more reasonable and fair snow management procurement process that has safety and protection of the environment as a focus.

Landscape Ontario’s Turf Management sector group are lawn care professionals who practice environmental stewardship every day while integrating best pest management practices that adhere to Health Canada standards.
