Electricity Distributors Association
1Engagement with respect to the clean economy investment tax credits regime, seeking eligibility for distribution. Support the Electric Distributors Association of Ontario to engage with the federal government to provide feedback on policies and programs under development, and to obtain information on current policies and programs, including those announced through the annual federal budget, Fall Economic Statement and Climate Plans. These include, but are not exclusive to, the Smart Renewable and Electrification Pathways, and the Energy Innovation Program - Smart Grid. Raise awareness with respect to key challenges faced by the electricity distribution industry in Ontario, particularly with respect to the transition to a net zero electricity grid, and associated investments required to meet said federal objectives, such as grid modernization and smart grid investments. Inform of the implications of the Clean Electricity Regulations to the electricity distribution business; and inform of the role of the distribution industry with respect to the objective of a net zero electricity grid.

Supporting Energy Storage Canada in its engagement on climate and energy policy and regulations, including the clean electricity regulation, Regional Resource Tables, Pan-Canadian Grid Council, amongst others as further dialogues, and policy instruments emerge. Supporting Energy Storage Canada's engagement with the Government of Canada concerning its proposed clean technology Investment Tax Credit.
