Influencing policy development and funding for safety considerations as Canada expands use of zero emissions technologies. Increasing the volunteer firefighter tax credit from $3,000 to $10,000 Encouraging the reestablishment of a Joint Emergency Preparedness Program for Emergency Response Advancing the concept of a National Fire Administration for Canada Advancing regulations in the Transportation of Dangerous Goods by participating as a member in the General Policy Advisory Council discussions. Generally we would like to ensure that appropriate information is provided to fire departments about dangerous goods moving through their regions, but we partake in all parts of the GPAC discussions, such as advancing education packages etc. Advancing FireSmart and what is needed for appropriate wildfire response
