Legislative Reform-Human Rights and Accountability Legislative proposals or amendments relating or new statutory measures concerning human rights protection, accountability mechanisms, sanctions regimes, judicial accountability, victim protection and related justice mechanisms International Sanctions and Economic Measures Policy, legislative and regulatory matters relating to Canada's sanctions regimes and the development, amendment and implementation of sanctions regulations, and related diplomatic, economic and trade-related measures addressing serious human rights violations, corruption, or threats to international peace and security, including but not limited to measures under The Justice for Victims of Corrupt Foreign Officials Act (Sergei Magnitsky Law) and the Special Economic Measures Act, including matters relating to the potential designation of foreign nationals, entities or sectors under those frameworks International Human Rights and Political Prisoners Policy and legislative matters relating to Canada's diplomatic engagement and parliamentary initiatives concerning international human rights protection, including matters relating to political prisoners and prisoners of conscience Criminal law and National Security Policy and legislative matters relating to Canada's legislative and policy framework addressing terrorism, national security and related criminal law measures, including but not limited to relevant provisions of the Criminal Code and the enforcement, investigation and related measures undertaken by federal authorities in relation to national security matters
