Advocacy with the Government of Canada and with the Major Projects Office (MPO) concerning implementation of the Gwich'in Tribal Council (GTC), Sahtu Secretariat Inc. (SSI) and Pehdzeh Ki First Nation (PKFN) concerning the Mackenzie Valley Highway (MVH) Project Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) in support of advancement of completion of the MVH Project from Wrigley to Inuvik in the Northwest Territories (NWT). Advancing Gwich'in treaty rights and interests concerning planned Department of National Defence (DND) and Canadian Armed Forces (CAF) Northern Operations and Planned Northern Defence Procurement Expenditures. Seeking support for the Gwich'in Tribal Council (GTC) funding proposal, "Achieving Consensus on Gwich'in Self-Government Negotiations Direction," submitted in response to the "Call For Proposals for Modern Treaty and Self-Government Implementation Policy Initiatives." This work includes supporting Gwich'in modern treaty implementation, treaty modernization and self-government negotiations efforts. Seeking clarifications about and proposing amendments to the draft text of the Intergovernmental Leaders Forum Terms of Reference, being developed under Canada's Collaborative Modern Treaty Implementation Policy.

Support the meaningful participation of Inuit and Inuit Development Corporations in emerging and existing programs related to Arctic and Northern defence and security, including NORAD Modernization and Continental and Arctic Defence, including special purpose, dual-use and community infrastructure. Make Government aware of Inuit-owned corporations capabilities and interests related to NORAD Modernization program and related, yet to be defined, future procurements. Discuss with Government the Inuit benefit policies that may or will be applied to those procurements, including the Industrial and Technological Benefits (ITB) policy, the 5% target in Indigenous procurement policy, and the Nunavut Agreement.

Advocacy in support of Nihtat Gwich'in Council around the construction of major projects in the North West Territories including the Polar Over the Horizon Radar and potentially related development.
