CLAC would like to continue to support the advancement of skilled trades workers and apprentices through ESDC. The client is a labour union whose members are actively working on significant major projects across Canada and want to continue to work on the strategically important public projects in Canada. CLAC wants to ensure that there are safe conditions for working on those projects that support the recruitment and advancement of workers while keeping projects open to all qualified workers in Canada.

CLAC members want to work to help to build Canada and are active on major projects throughout Canada. They will advocate for policies and criteria to help support the delivery and construction of public projects in ways that will ensure good jobs and fair participation of all workers in Canada. CLAC helps to support all parts of the apprenticeship journey and is interested in programs and funding that can help to support training, recruitment and retention of apprentices and workers in the skilled trades.

Request funding from the Development of Official-Language Communities Program - Community Life Component – for the purpose of meeting operating costs for the of the Quebec Community Groups Network (QCGN). Obtain funding to help improve life outcomes for vulnerable groups within Canada’s Official Language Minority Communities the Social Financing Initiative, and other programs contained in the Action Plan for Official Languages 2023–2028: Protection-Promotion-Collaboration Obtain funding for, and ensure equitable access to the Government of Canada's new official languages' strategy (Action Plan) 2023-2028 Modernization of the Official Languages Act. Inter-Action: Multiculturalism Grants and Contributions Funding to assist the socio-economic integration of individuals and communities and their contributions, strengthening the vitality of Canada's English linguistic minority communities, and building an integrated and socially cohesive society. Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada Research on Official Language Minority Communities. Funding to lead research projects related to immigrants and Canada's English linguistic minority communities.
