Taxation and Finance: Canada must ensure, fairness, accountability and transparency regarding CRA decisions that impact Jewish charities. Provide economic support for the charitable and not-for-profit sector through a direct granting program. Donations from Canadians should be incentivized through a temporary enhancement of the charitable giving tax credit, or through a donor matching program, whereby the government matches donations from Canadians. Religion: Include a question on religion in every census, instead of every second census. National Security/Security (3): A ministerial directive to the RCMP and CSIS to prioritize and intensify monitoring, intelligence collection, investigations, disruption, and enforcement against antisemitic and Islamist violent extremism, as well as against foreign actors seeking to sponsor or exploit protests in Canada. National Security/Security (2): Continued support for revocation of citizenship in cases involving war crimes, crimes against humanity, terrorism, and extreme promotion of hate; strengthened screening to bar entry and deny citizenship to individuals who pose security threats or have ties to extremist or terrorist organizations; removal of individuals already in Canada who obtained status through false representation; establishment of a fast-track removal stream for high-risk individuals linked to foreign extremist organizations; accelerated removals for individuals convicted of violent crimes; and standalone immigration consequences for expressing support for listed terrorist entities, even in the absence of criminal convictions. National Security (1): Canada Community Security Program (CCSP): Sustained and recurrent funding and program optimization; support for life-saving protective measures for communities at risk, particularly the Jewish community; funding for capital security upgrades and training; and ongoing support for security guards and paid duty officers. Justice and Law Enforcement (2): Conflict of Interests, Foreign Interference, Ethics, Lobbying, Canada Revenue Agency. Ensuring CIJA fully respects all its legal and regulatory obligations while advocating for the current framework to be more efficient and respectful of the needs, objectives and resources of cultural and religious communities. Justice and Law Enforcement: Canada should pursue a comprehensive, accountable approach to combating hate and promoting inclusion by strengthening legal tools, enforcement capacity, and public institutions. This includes modernizing human rights and criminal frameworks to address hate speech and antisemitism, guided by the IHRA definition; investing in anti-racism, tolerance, and genocide education initiatives; and ensuring police are properly resourced to prevent and respond to hate crimes, with clear accountability for results. Bail reform to include a reverse onus on hate related offences. International Trade: Advancing and expanding bilateral trade through the promotion, application, and potential enhancement of the Canada–Israel Free Trade Agreement, as well as fostering increased investment and academic exchanges. International Relations: Canadian diplomatic relations with Israel and the broader Middle East, including Canada’s role in the Israel–Palestinian peace process; Canadian interventions at the UN and other multilateral bodies, including sanctions regimes and related legislation; and policy toward Iran, including maintaining non-renewal of diplomatic relations alongside continued sanctions against the IRGC and senior regime figures. Immigration: Matters related to the Department of Citizenship and Immigration Act, including visa applications and issuance; Immigration and Refugee Board policies, including refugee claims from Israel; broader Canadian immigration policy; integration and settlement of new immigrants, recognition of foreign-trained credentials and language training; and standards and requirements for refugee status, permanent residence, and citizenship

Immigration et main-d'oeuvre : Représentations sur l’importance stratégique du Programme des travailleurs étrangers temporaires (PTET) pour soutenir la vitalité économique de toutes les régions du Québec et répondre aux besoins de main-d’œuvre dans plusieurs secteurs clés, qui portent sur l'adaptation des modalités du programme aux réalités québécoises et le maintien en poste des TET présents au Québec, et la nécessité d'une entente avec le gouvernement du Québec pour la mise en oeuvre d'une clause de droits acquis pour les personnes affectées par la fin du Programme de l'expérience québécoise. Habitation et itinérance : Nous demandons de rehausser le financement de mesures structurantes en matière d’habitation et d’itinérance, notamment via la Stratégie nationale sur le logement et le programme Vers un chez soi de même que Maisons Canada. De plus, nous demandons au gouvernement du Canada et au gouvernement du Québec de s’entendre, dans les plus brefs délais, sur les modalités d’utilisation des sommes dédiées aux campements, en concertation avec le milieu municipal et les organismes communautaires. Les substances perfluoroalkyliques et polyfluoroalkyliques (PFAS) sont des polluants éternels qui se retrouvent dans l'eau potable et les eaux usées des municipalités. L'UMQ souhaite s'assurer que des actions soient mises en place afin de minimiser les impacts sur le milieu municipal (par ex. :coûts de traitement et pérennité des sources d'eau potable) Navigation de plaisance : Les enjeux liés à la navigation de plaisance et à l’accès aux plans d’eau au Québec sont préoccupants pour nos municipalités. Les municipalités souhaiteraient pouvoir bénéficier d’une certaine marge de manœuvre pour réglementer la navigation de plaisance sur leurs plans d’eau pour s’assurer de la qualité de vie de leurs citoyens. Transport collectif : Nous souhaitons que l'annonce du gouvernement fédéral concernant le Fonds canadien pour le transport en commun porte ses fruits et favorise le développement du transport en commun dans nos communautés. Nous souhaitons également que le versement des montants soit devancé afin de soutenir plus rapidement nos initiatives, car le financement du transport collectif doit être une priorité nationale. Caribous : Nous demandons au gouvernement du Canada de collaborer et s'entendre avec le gouvernement du Québec en ce qui a trait à la mise en place de mesures de protection des caribous forestiers et montagnards et de leur habit

Additionally, housing and student support services. National defence and defence research; innovation and commercialization, and support, including funding, for economic development and businesses in the defence sector from FedDev Ontario and the Defence Industrial Strategy. Brock University would like to make sure that university research and infrastructure are part of the annual federal budget. Research - Brock University would like to maintain confidentiality and privacy for its researchers and applicants for federal funding. Networks of Centres of Excellence - investments in agriculture innovation now that grape and wine research qualifies for funding. Health research - research capital grants, research operating grants, and capital grants from the federal government. Economic development and social innovation - investments that facilitate partnerships and knowledge transfer between postsecondary institutions and the private, public and not-for profit sectors. Brock University would like to see research funding levels maintained or increased. Agriculture innovation - investments in agriculture innovation to support research such as state-of-the-art biomanufacturing for the development of health-centric crops for food and pharmacy and grape and wine innovation.

Communicating to Members of Parliament and Senate, federal departments and agencies a long term and comprehensive view of the role of research and post-secondary education as it relates to agriculture, food and nutrition, animals and health, in the growth of economic and societal wealth of Canada. Identification of critical infrastructure for food safety, security, sustainability and sovereignty, and public health related to nutrition, disease surveillance and prevention. Provide advice to federal departments and agencies regarding Agriculture, Food and Veterinary Medicine policies and priorities, and in particular Agricultural, Food and Veterinary Medicine policies and priorities related to skills development and capacity, funding and partnerships in scientific research and the technology transfer / extension to users of the research findings. Advice on regulations in related subjects. Communicating with public office holders in the areas of research funding priorities, funding cycles, processes and results; and skills and HQP (highly qualified personnel) needs for governments, industry and academia. Collaboration among Science and Technology and Policy Branches, and Agriculture, Food and Veterinary Medicine faculties of member universities, regarding the development and implementation of research clusters of federal and university organizations.
