CNIB is consulting on policies and investments that support the accessible, inclusive, and responsible adoption of artificial intelligence (AI), ensuring that Canadians who are blind, Deafblind, or have low vision can fully participate in and benefit from emerging AI technologies and workforce opportunities. Seeking government funding through Employment and Social Development Canada to support individuals who are blind, low vision, or Deafblind in gaining and retaining meaningful employment through our employment program and AI apprenticeships. CNIB is consulting on the full implementation of the Canada Disability Benefit Act and the Accessible Canada Act. CNIB is consulting on copyright legislation in respect to the implementation of the Marrakesh Treaty and born accessible alternate format print materials. CNIB is working with Elections Canada to reduce barriers to voting for Canadians who are blind or partially sighted.

Seek funding from undetermined sources to support victims of violence against women with respect to murdered and missing Indigenous women and girls. Seek funding from undetermined sources related to Indigenous women's employment, financial health and wellness, housing security, food security, resilience and safety, justice and human rights, health, environmental issues, public safety and emergency management, language and culture, and community engagement. Reconciliation with respect to discrimination under the Indian Act. Funding for increased staff capacity for NWAC from the Aboriginal Skills and Employment Training Strategy (CIRNA/ Indigenous Services) and the Partnerships Initiative Program (ESDC). Funding for increased organizational capacity (core funding) from the Basic Organization Funding Capacity contribution program. Culturally appropriate infrastructure with respect to purchase and renovation of a workplace appropriate for Indigenous persons. Corrections Canada with respect to segregation of Indigenous women. Arrange meetings with the federal government to solidify the relationship between federal government and NWAC.

Work with the various government programs that support accessibility, inclusion, and a world without barriers, particularly in the built environment around an accessibility Certification Program which will assess and rate the built environment of Canada against a common standard (example Canadian Standards Association). Work with the Government of Canada to seek funding and support for RHF national initiatives designed to educate and engage Canadians about the importance of promoting accessibility, in coordination with National AccessAbility Week. Work with the Government of Canada to provide leadership in salmon and sturgeon conservation and related initiatives and research. Work with the Government of Canada to promote the Rick Hansen School Program to promote the adoption of this already existing program in every school in Canada. Work with Government of Canada to endorse and support the Rick Hansen Foundation Accessibility Certification Program Program as the national standard to assess and certify the built environment. Communication with the Government of Canada, to keep them informed of the use and outcomes of their investment in spinal cord injury research, as well as the outcomes of any projects around which we collaborate in order to maintain funding and to seek future funding.
