Convention on Biodiversity To promote the conservation of biodiversity, the sustainable use of its components, and the fair and equitable sharing of benefits arising out of the utilization of genetic resources Canadian Wildlife Act and Complimentary Regulations. The Act allows for the creation, management and protection of wildlife areas for wildlife research activities, or for conservation or interpretation of wildlife, seeking regulatory and legislative change to strengthen the prohibitions in the Act. Canadian Environmental Protection Act. CEPA regulates toxins and 'animate products of biotechnology'. We are seeking to ensure the Act adequately protects biodiversity from toxins and other harmful products. Canadian Environmental Assessment Act to ensure that projects are considered in a careful and precautionary manner before federal authorities take action in connection with them, in order to ensure that such projects do not cause significant adverse environmental effects

Amend the Income Tax Act to classify small, family-run campgrounds with fewer than five full-time year-round employees as active businesses, making them eligible for the Small Business Deduction Tariff Remission and tariff consultation. The Canadian RV industry is heavily reliant on U.S. imports, with approximately 95% of RVs sold in Canada originating from various U.S. states. There is no viable short-term replacement and Canadian dealerships will face extreme hardships if inventory is placed on the retaliatory tariff list. Tariff measures that are imposed on US goods should be focused on goods and services already produced in Canada and that can be adequately supplied to consumers, thus giving a boost to those businesses. Recreational Vehicles are not one of those products. There are not enough Canadian RV manufacturers to fall back on to supply the market and retaliatory tariffs will have a catastrophic effect on Canadian RV businesses. Amending the Excise Tax Act (ETA) - Amend the ETA to address the inequitable and inappropriate application of GST/HST on cross-border transactions involving agreements made under subsection 178.8(3) and (4). GST/HST under these provisions should be payable and collectible based on the province to which the goods are destined, not based on the province of the port of entry when the goods are imported into Canada. Make this correction to the legislation and section 178.8 effective for all transactions occurring on/after July 1, 2010 – the date the Province of Ontario harmonized its provincial sales tax with the federal GST/HST system. Electrical Infrastructure Improvements - Make a public and significant commitment to the electrification of campgrounds across Canada. Better access to electricity for RVs is an important driver of tourism and will contribute immediately to the transition towards electric recreation vehicles and zero-emissions campgrounds. The Government of Canada should create an Apprenticeship Travel Grant. Make the Labour Mobility Deduction for Tradespeople available for those that are temporarily relocating to pursue their apprenticeship training and Red Seal certification. Supporting our National Parks and Tourism Sector - Invest in camping and RVing infrastructure to increase the overall contributions of the tourism industry to future economic development and prosperity throughout Canada. Make a public and significant commitment to the electrification of campgrounds across Canada. Infrastructure - Ensuring that the Ministry of Transport is allocated funding for the maintenance of Canadian highways. Increasing Support for Skilled Workers - Commit to increasing support for Skilled Workers by making education more accessible.

Work with the various government programs that support accessibility, inclusion, and a world without barriers, particularly in the built environment around an accessibility Certification Program which will assess and rate the built environment of Canada against a common standard (example Canadian Standards Association). Work with the Government of Canada to seek funding and support for RHF national initiatives designed to educate and engage Canadians about the importance of promoting accessibility, in coordination with National AccessAbility Week. Work with the Government of Canada to provide leadership in salmon and sturgeon conservation and related initiatives and research. Work with the Government of Canada to promote the Rick Hansen School Program to promote the adoption of this already existing program in every school in Canada. Work with Government of Canada to endorse and support the Rick Hansen Foundation Accessibility Certification Program Program as the national standard to assess and certify the built environment. Communication with the Government of Canada, to keep them informed of the use and outcomes of their investment in spinal cord injury research, as well as the outcomes of any projects around which we collaborate in order to maintain funding and to seek future funding.
