Encourage the Government of Canada to align the mandates of the Canada Infrastructure Bank (CIB) with the Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation. Advocating that the Government of Canada commit to comprehensive carbon budgets. Advocate that the federal government include an accurate and meaningful assessment of spending by age in the federal budget. Advocating for a review of existing taxation schemes to identify opportunities to create more affordable housing for Canadians. Advancing recommendations to hold climate change to 1.5 degrees Celsius. This includes meeting Canada's climate targets and commitments. Advocate that the increasing minimum and maximum parental leave benefit amounts. Recommend that the Government of Canada restructure parental leave time. Work towards ensuring all Canadians can afford a good home by 2030. This includes stalling home prices to ensure that local earnings can catch up. Advocating that the federal budget report on the ratio between spending on medical care versus spending on social investments. Advocating that the Government of Canada make it less costly for businesses to use employees up to an average of 35 hours per week each year and more costly for hours thereafter. Advocating that the Government of Canada develop budgets that work for all generations. This would include assigning a point-person for intergenerational fairness in budgeting processes.
