Discussions with officials with regards to advancing youth homelessness prevention projects with the Government of Canada through funding programs such as Youth Employment and Skills Strategy (YESS). Working with all orders of government, communities, services providers and philanthropy to create a policy, investment and service environment that enables a shift away from simply “managing” the problem of youth homelessness through emergency services to a more proactive, rights-based approach that focuses on prevention and helping those who are homeless move into housing with supports as rapidly as possible in a safe and planned way.

Seek funding for research and knowledge mobilization relating to neurodevelopmental disabilities in children and youth under the age of 14 through the Government of Canada’s Strategic Science Fund (SSF). Engagement with the Senate of Canada and the Government of Canada on Bill S-253, National Framework on Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder Act. Seeking the inclusion of Ronald McDonald House within the framework of Build Canada Homes (BCH), specifically under BCH's temporary and supportive housing category. Advocating for the development of a federal capital funding program to address temporary housing needs for vulnerable populations. Discussions on policies, programs and mechanisms to improve community infrastructure and non-profit housing Government outreach related to securing funding for future capital projects, infrastructure and ongoing operations and social service delivery.
